About the Author: Ernest Cooper
Ernest has been affiliated with commercial scrap operations since 1980 when he took a job with Commercial Metals Corporation as a Systems Analysis. While at Commercial Metals he was involved in researching equipment and a software system for inventory purchasing and control at the various yards. The IBM Series was chosen and the software application was written in-house. Later he became an independent programming consultant and soon migrated to service the PC market. He became knowledgeable in PC networks, beginning with Novell 1.17. Later he became a top seller for the multi-station operating system known as PC-MOS. Now he partners with Terry Ratcliffe, managing and servicing many small to medium PC Networks. TR & Associates (Terry and Ernest's Company) markets a network server system (Net Integrator) that competes with and out performs a Windows based server. Ernest has serviced scrap dealers since 1986 and has several clients from the largest in Dallas, Texas to small part time companies.
